According to Hypebot who got it off the Guardian: “Search for new releases by ColdPlay, The Black Keys or Beyonce and Spotify displays an empty player and the message: “The artist or their representatives have decided not to release this album on Spotify. We are working on it and hope they will change their mind soon.”
So I did and you do but no word as to why the Black Keys El Camino isn’t on Spotify either? Makes you wonder how sincerely the “soon” is. It has been two years plus since El Camino was released, how hard are they trying exactly?
It reminds me of those stupid subway “There is a traffic ahead of us, we are sorry for the inconvenience”. No, you’re not sorry, you’re a machine you have no feelings. So is Spotify. It is a software machine and it isn’t working hard because if it was it’d have El Camino. It is just sliughing you off with an inane and irritating comment.
Of course this is just a late game holding action. It reminds me of how late I waited to buy CDs. I waited till they STOPPED MANUFACTURING VINYL OF MY FAVE ALBUMS. And then I fell to earth howling in outrage.
I hate big companies, I like mom and pop shops which apparently no longer exist.
I also don’t like the Black Keys new album and demance my $10.99 back.
