the-weekndThe Hills – The Weeknd – The one time I saw this guy live I was impressed, less a DJ then a soul man, and this soulful come on, trying to get her out of the Friend zone, is yet another gorgeous neo-R&B track , it clicks nicely and is as good as anything he has ever done- A-

Emergency – Icona Pop – This major pop band from Sweden didn’t break bigger with their debut album two years ago, but this is an addictive bouncer with a funny metaphor – B

I Know There’s Gonna Be Good Times – Jamie xx – soul meets reggae meets EDM -with Young Thug! – B+

21 – Hunter Hayes – Livelier than usual, mainstream pop rocker and Hunter goes for Taylor’s lost 2010 audience – C

What A Good Woman Does – Joy Williams – Somber downer – B-

Holding On – Disclosure – The Gregory Porter ride to stardom should get a huge push with this House track, hand Disclosure this: if you wanna tap into Calvin Harris but move him forward, do it with better beats – A-

Beautiful Day – Jon Bon Jovi – No not that one, this is a version of a song off the Broadway musical. A terrible, terrible one – D+

Big Box – Neil Young – This is a song from his Promise Of Real band (featuring Willie Nelson’s son) collaboration album , and the album is Neil’s third since Psychedelic Pill, all of which have sucked… including this one or at least this song – C

Roots And Wings – Miranda Lambert – I loved it the third spin, the fifth go round? Fuck you and your roots – C
