Rolling Stone: Worst Issue Ever
Everything you have grown to hate about Rolling Stone is on view in their just plain terrible 25th Anniversary Issue: a self serving, self righteous piece of wank that sees the publication change in front of you very eyes to a celebraty fix like Wenner’s Us Magazine.
Never less than pretentious, the cover has the self satisfied glare of three super stars (Bono, Jagger, Bruce) all leather coats and wrinkles. Inside in a letter from the editor, Jann preposterously stays how twenty years ago when Ahmer Ertegun and he first thought up the idea “We could only dream of what went down” at MSG.
Why? Wenner was already a member of the rock establishiment, had already been thru Live Aids> This is his big dream? What an ass.
The rest of it is rock star pics and rock star pap like Bono (him again) “Rock and Roll means just one word: liberation”. Yeah, the day Bono can leave it at just one word…
Nobody’s fooling anybody any more. Rock and Roll means just one thing: burning all these liars.
