Are ya kiddin me? Can it be that a crowd can harass an artist so well that the show wont go on? Seems that’s exactly what happened with Rick Ross- and its sorta pathetic.
Apparently Ross was met outside a Detroit park by about 100 crazy folk who scared him so badly he feared for his life.. I know Detroit is a tough town but jeeez! The episode occurred outside Chene Park during the Hot 107.5 Summer Jamz concert June 21 that also included B.o.B., A$AP Ferg, Rico Love,Sevyn Streeter, Scarface and more. David Rudulph, spokesman for The Right Productions, which put on the show, told MLive.com :
“It took me nine months to put this show together,” Hicks told the crowd. “I do this for y’all; I was at work negotiating contracts, putting shit together. I’m going to be real with y’all; I’m going to be real as fuck. We had Rick Ross right outside here tonight at about eleven o’clock. When he was pulling in to come into Chene Park, he was met by 100 individuals outside.
“We have tried to pull every resource together and ask him to come back,” Hicks continued. “He is in fear of his life. I’m just being real; real talk. This is real shit. He was in fear of his life and he is not performing here tonight. And he may never come back to Detroit, and that’s no bullshit.” Hicks then announced the concert was over. Detroit Police Sgt. Eren Stephens told MLive authorities weren’t notified of the crowd outside the venue and she wasn’t aware of any arrests.
“There were no calls pertaining to that,” she said, noting the only officers at the venue were assigned to provide security before, during and after the show
