Rap Video Promotes Scientology

Do you know Chill E.B.? He is a rapper of a different kind,… a scientologist rapper. I first saw this video posted on Spin which had picked it up from the Village Voice's Runnin' Scared blog, then it was removed, probably because Xenu saw that too many people were having fun at the cult’s expense. But it has been uploaded again!

The hip-hop music video is a four-minute long advertisement for the cult, said to be intended for internal church use. It sounds like your regular, basic, generic synth-rap song, with bad breakdancing and is thought to be the title track of ‘Dauntless, Defiant and Resolute’ by artist Chill E.B.

But, according to The Village Voice, the video wasn’t made by Chill E.B., so how did it end up there? The scientology video is all about the IAS, the International Association of Scientologists, claiming their well-documented hatred for psychiatry:
‘We ain't never gonna back down, leave town, play the clown/ Psychiatry and SPs you know we take 'em down/ See the purpose ingrained, it's burning in our blood/ They the passing storm, we the unstoppable flood/ See, cuz we the IAS and we're dauntless and defiant/ We confront even the giants, yo.’

Chill E.B., who was kind of successful in the early 90s, resurfaced a few years ago with a new song, ‘Y'All Busted’ which strongly went after psychiatrists who prescribe drugs for children with ADHD…

And it was just too perfect for scientologists, who invited the rapper, who eventually composed this new song ‘Dauntless, Defiant and Resolute’. The Copenhagen-based IAS made this video from the song and the result ended up on YouTube. Of course any attempt by the cult to pull down the video is unsuccessful since as soon as it is on the internet it is copied and uploaded back.

So watch it if you dare, it’s full of ‘happy’ European scientologists, Mercedes benz cars, and self-congratulating idiots with a diploma and medals galore, the whole thing happening in front of Ron Hubbard’s giant portrait.
