I am always realizing things like these too late, the four dates for Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds are already sold out, and this happened very, very fast! It’s really too bad since they are presenting their new album ‘Push the Sky Away’ with strings and choirs during only four exclusive shows in London, Paris, Berlin and Los Angeles, and I would have really wanted to see that,… but certainly not at these second-hand ticket prices!
Meanwhile, Noisey just premiered ‘Jubilee Street’ the band's new video for the second track taken from the album, featuring English actor Ray Winstone.
The haunting short movie transpires its darkness in a Lou-Reed-meets-Paris-Texas kind of way. It installs such an atmosphere in just a few minutes, between a middle-aged man falling on his knees for a pretty prostitute and Nick Cave skimming the neon alleys with his swagger walking and deep cavernous voice. Ah but there is transcendence at the end, there is a luminescent light at the end of this dark alley, and you have no idea how far a nipple in your mouth can bring you!
Nick Cave said this about working with Ray Winstone: ‘It was a real pleasure hanging around the set and watching Ray do his thing. He is a master. What a great actor. And of course, working with my friend and collaborator John Hillcoat is always a blast’.
Nick and the Bad Seeds’ fifteenth studio album 'Push The Sky Away,' will be released February 18th on Bad Seed Ltd, and once again all the shows are sold out!!
