MTV VMA Nominations… Same Ol' Thang

there is no winner here....
there is no winner here….

MTV, oh how everyone takes a jab at you.  Remember when you played music and bla bla bla and well- let’s face it you made tons of starts who otherwise wouldn’t have stood a chance.  Still an icon of our American culture MTV may not be music television anymore but they still manage to throw together awards shows and apparently their opinions mean alot to the artists who get that nod.  The show is tons of hoopla though- If you recall that’s when cork headed Miley ass grind-ed Robin Thicke- who knows what will go down this year.. and who cares?

The ceremony will take place at The Forum venue in Los Angeles on August 24. Usher and 5 Seconds of Summer are scheduled to perform. That alone gives you a good indication of the target market.  We at rocknyc should really have our own awards show- we have a wider range and more snarky opinions and if it were my category, it’d be “The Artists Who Pissed Me off The Most”, let me tell ya kids, that’d be one long nomination list.

But because most of you are just middle of the road joes with common core interests here is what MTV thinks you like best.  I suggest you prove them wrong by supporting your local rock stars instead.
