World Peace Is None of Your Business is a dumb name for an album. I suppose we’re to call it “World Peace” shortened.
Did you order ‘World Peace’? Dont you love “World Peace”…etc but the truth is I write this I am hating the entire thing. The first offering of Moz’s new label is playing corporate cow and holding the first single sacred offering it only to those who pre order the album.
Pre ordering albums is also dumb. Why are they going to sell out? That was the reason for pre ordering anything back when things were sane but now its just a cash inducing idiotic marketing scheme. Build the hype, throw them a bone.
I’m double doomed here since I am not an Apple whore. I use no Apple products intentionally, I refuse to be held hostage by a power charger. That being said the first single from Morrissseys new album is available as bonus from iTunes for a preorder.. I say shove that thing up your ass. Wont do it.
I have come to discover that Morrissey fans are a rabid almost pathetic lot and I mingle around them as best I can. The obnoxious Blue Rose Society are a borderline cult sacrificing children and falling for every conspiracy theory related to ‘their Mozza’, grow up
So no- there will be no track review from me on this new single cuz not only will I wait for the album release but I will wait til Spotify streams the thing (actually, in the magic wordlf of writing, the review was published yesterday here). Yup- I wont even buy it, why would I?
Based only on principle of pre order bullshit I will file my nails and wait for the live show- wonder what huckster action I will see there. That is until someone rips off the tune and plants it somewhere on the net for all to hear.
I gotta say that this pre order bonus thing is so anti Morrissey. The cliche’ hype machine profiting on the zombie fans, almost seems like something he would rant against. The bundle offering is amazing.. if I weren’t such a bitch I’d be suckered into it.
Also.. Moz is now using Twitter? Are you kidding me?
Harvest Records stole Morrisseys soul- and they better give it back before I see him live on June 7th
