Let’s face it you haven’t had enough Morrissey in your life lately. We’ve been hugging Cat Stevens but it was well deserved! I mean, Yusuf hasn’t been around in forever, the Mozzer, has.
But back to facts. With less than 2 months until I see him again and just under a month that he starts his tour on the West Coast, news comes forth about his upcoming album, ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business”. Now there has been no new Morrissey other than a a bad tribute to Lou Reed In ‘Satellite of Love” since 2009.
That’s a five year drought! Year of Refusal was a peach though, so I wont cry too hard. But with a lack of label, morons like Amanda Palmer offering advise and some odd and numerous health issues its a wonder there was any more to be had from the quiffed wizard.
So what we have now is an awesome early tour a new album due out in June and now.. the tracklist. The titles are Morrissey gold. With tunes in excess of five minutes, there is obviously something happening. I am nervously awaiting its leak. There is apoint when you cant help but worry it wont live up to the expectations. Sorta like going to see him live again.. will he disappoint?
I cant imagine he will but its worth concern. Our heroes age, they become more human. But I gotta say, these titles are pretty perfect.
