Trouble Loves Me’ and obviously so does Morrissey. I have never been impacted by his cancellations but alot of folks have. Baltimore and Washington DC now join Atlantic City as rescheduled dates.
The rumors are that his ‘medical team’ deemed it necessary. Now lets see, Moz was happy, laughing, giddy and slurring words when we saw him in Boston-was he under the influence of something? I honestly do not think so but what the hell do I know without a urine sample.
All I know is I was able to see a Morrissey like no other. So powerful and agile (as he cowered for ‘Meat Is Murder’) that it was breathtaking. Then again if you recall from my Port Chester review I also felt he was in tip top condition and he immediately started hacking up blood with the Baret Syndrome- again..when he’s good hes ill?
Morrisseys fans are a rather interesting lot. There is an entire section who live in conspiracy theory and can literally tie every health issue and movement he makes to some sort of nod to their gang. Its fantastic and if there were a Morrissey X Files the episodes would be hilarious- I await their theories on this latest news, the creativity is phenomenal.
As for your average fan well, me personally I hope he is well and just being a jerk. Im on the fence but may head to Atlantic City to see him on his rescheduled stop but I cant help but wonder if it will even happen. Its like a lottery! But this time……….. I WON!
Shows for Baltimore at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall are now rescheduled for June 24 and the The Lincoln Theatre in Washington DC is rescheduled for June 25.
Of course, my show was untouched. My theory is because Morrissey likes me best and didn’t want to disappoint me. How I love all of this scandal. Here’s a great clip from the Boston show for all you kids who have nothing to do tonight.
