Monty Python's Unofficial World Cup Anthem

World Cup Winners?
World Cup Winners?

Sure, we know it, but we love it and we love Eric Idle as well who once performed a wonderful gig at Carnegie Hall back in 2000. Yeah, I went with my buddy and fellow Python enthusiast, and while we didn’t laugh, the jokes are less like jokes and more like songs, all timing and hooks, it was pleasure to hear them live.

Of course we won’t be going to London to see Monty Python them one last time before they take their terminal breathe and what I might add is that listening to the Matching Tie And Handkerchief is actually very funny. A contradiction: except it is all deep album tracks you probably haven’t heard in decades. Try the Cheese Emporium, a firm favorite with a line, “shut that bloody bouzouki up” that entered my vernacular decades ago.

Why am I telling you this? Because I am inviting you to listen to Monty Python’s Unofficial World Cup Anthem. We only get one new verse on this “Always Look At The Bright Side Of Life”  but it a cracker.
