Lost Prophets Bandmates "Would Have Killed" Ian Watkins, If They Knew His Secret

I’m on the fence here.  The guys of the band Lost Prophets are trying to move on with their new group No Devotion but how do you get away from your pedophile past?

The band Lost Prophets lost their lead singer Ian Watkins to the court system when it was discovered discovered he had attempted sexual relationships with an eleven month old girl.  Tough convincing that lot to come to your rock shows so best way to make it with the ladies is to convince their mothers to sacrifice them to your rock and roll alter- pretty taboo huh?  Mothers sacrificial their kids for their own gain all the time, its a fucked up world- this particular scenario is newsworthy only because its its a ‘celeb’ occurrence- there is worse going on, mark my words.

But now comes word from the band, who can never ever shake this scandal no matter how hard they try, that they would have offed Watkins ‘if they knew’.   Sure thing.  When you’re on tour and you’re getting paid you tend not to be doing anything but focusing on the prize which may be why they didn’t have a clue about this entire situation.  I find it doubtful that they didn’t have some odd feeling that something was amiss but hey, I wasnt there.

Lee Gaze spoke with the BBC and I ripped off his quotes

“How could you know? How would you know? Who would disclose such a thing to five people, who between them have eight children? You just wouldn’t because they would be killed on the spot.”

Stuart Richardson adds that, even though the band were done with Watkins once the allegations had been made, he hoped the shamed singer would be found innocent.

He says: “Even though I was completely done with him, I hoped it was all a mistake, he was innocent, he had to be. The first time, we knew the band was done. You can’t go back from that.”

Leading up to Watkins’ arrest, the band had all but decided to call it a day, says Gaze.

He adds: “He was doing his own thing. That just grew worse over the years, the more he was using drugs. He could be in the same city as me and I wouldn’t hang out with him, even if we weren’t playing shows.

“We shot a video for what was to be our last single for the record, which was probably nine days before he got arrested. He was talking about the next record and how it’s going to do really well and get back on our feet. It goes to show how deluded he was.

“He is just completely on a different level to everybody, happy and positive and convinced we were going to be successful again.”

They’ll never make it now- they will forever be the guys in Lost Prophet with the pedo singer.
