Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds just had a gig in Los Angeles two weeks ago, and they played a lot of Oasis’ songs. I did not go but just read the critics, which were good by the way.
Liam Gallagher, who seems to never be out of words in order to insult his brother, will play at the Wiltern with his Beady Eye on Saturday, and the LA Weekly spoke with him,… but what else could be expected? Liam talked shit about Noel,… literally!
I explain: to the infamous question regarding an eventual tour as Oasis with Noel for a 20th anniversary reunion, this is what Liam said:
‘I'd rather eat my own shit than be in a band with him again. He's a miserable little fuck, if you know what I mean. But if the fans want it, though, I'd do it.’
You know rabbits eat their own shit, so does it mean Liam wants to become a lagomorph? Seriously, this guy should never be interviewed again, if he only has things like this to say. And have you noticed the ‘but if the fans want it, I’d do it’? He is admitting he would certainly eat his shit if success and money are the rewards.
The whole interview is on the same tone, constantly criticizing his brother, commenting on the fact that Noel is playing Oasis songs in concert, ’I'll tell you what: He's playing 50 percent Oasis material, which says to me that he's a complete fucking parasite. He's a complete fucking shitbag’, or on the fact that Noel is using songs on his new album that were once intended to be Oasis songs ‘he's obviously got a master plan’.
The poster boy for sibling rivalry should really shut up. But, in 2015, if they happen to tour together again for the 20th anniversary of ‘Morning Glory’, someone has to bring back this hilarious interview!
