So it is late on Saturday and I have been writing and editing all day and I am exhausted. I have one more story and I was planning to review Dolly Parton’s new album, an album I am strangely ambivalent about. It will be a biggish story and even bigger if I decide to write about facelifts which I am seriously considering doing but maybe not in the Parton review. I agree with Mariel Hemingway in Manhattan, I love old people’s faces and it is painful to see what Dolly, a beautiful woman, has done to herself through facelifts. She looks scary, her and Kenny Rogers seem to wandered out of a horror movie. It is terrifying. My dad had a stroke when I was a kid and his face was partially paralyzed and he looked a million times better than these guys.
But I digress. I’ll get to Dolly when I’m fresh so for now here is Lily Allen speaking out not accepting a role on “Games Of Thrones” on Reddit AMA. Cut and pasted from Contact Music News: “I’ve been asked to do a Game of Thrones cameo, they asked me if I’d be interested in playing Theon’s sister, and I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and shit. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks. I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though.”
