Did you catch them on the Travel Channel? At the end of the popular show ‘No Reservation’, you know the one where Anthony Bourdain carries his coolness all over the world and gets a taste from the local culture and especially cuisine, Fucked up performed their own rendition of ‘Jingle Bells’,… well, it was the Holiday special! It was short, but still, kind of cool to see them going mainstream like this.
According to Matador Records, the song was recorded for a split holiday 7” with Toronto alt-rock band Sloan, who contributed with their version of ’12 days of Christmas’. The 7”, limited to 500 copies, will be available at Fucked Up’s December 20th show in Toronto, and will benefit charities, the COUNTERfit Harm Reduction Program and the Barriere Lake Legal Defense Fund.
Fucked Up seem to be everywhere, as frontman Damian Abraham is currently on the cover of Spin magazine, which named Fucked Up's 'David Comes to Life' as the best album of the year!
