Dr. Dre Is Hopeful That Jimi Hendrix And Marvin Gaye Will Follow His Tupac's Resuscitation

This hologram thing simply doesn’t want to go away!

Dr. Dre, who is the one responsible for the Tupac hologram at Coachella, got ‘interviewed’ at the exit of a Hollywood restaurant on Wednesday night by TMZ reporters, who did not hesitate to ask him how he felt about the Tupac resurrection.

Obviously he was thrilled with this new toy, and as it has been reported, there are talks for a tour with the ghost, although it is not sure yet. He explained this was definitively still in his mind:

'I'm not sure right now, [there's] a technology that's happening where the hologram could be 360 degrees. Right now it's flat, it just looks like it's 3-dimensional from the front, but I'm working on some new and different things for the future.'

But what bothers me the most is that he was hopeful for other artists to be brought back to life:

'Hopefully, different artists are able to bring out their favorite artists. Hopefully, we can see Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye. Let's see what happens.'

Noooooooooooooooooooo, this scares me because Dre was the one who made this possible, he has the money, we have the technology, which is getting better and better every day, and I really don’t want to see this. But if it has been done, successfully, it will be done again. Will the future filled with hologram performances by John Lennon, Michael Jackson, Kurt Cobain and other dead legends?

I will never repeat it enough, it is exploitative and morally wrong, dead artists’ legacies do not belong to Dre or any concert promoters, and Dre should be ashamed to make money on zombies’ expenses.

The only hologram I would agree with, is Dick Clark’s on New Year’s Eve.
