Who the hell allowed this?
There is nothing more annoying that a faked out British accent, well nothing unless you try to mimic a Beatle. This is the most garage band version of a song I have heard in a great while. This is almost an atrocity. I can start with the closing "oh!". If I didn't dislike the tune before the ending (don't worry, I did) if I had heard that tone earlier I wouldn't have made it through the entire 3 minutes.
I suppose this is some cutesy 'demo', folksy not to be released fan treat. What it actually exhibits is a horrible band that needs production to sound half way polished. There is a fine line between 'unplugged' and 'unbearable' this song falls in the later column.
Downtown Fiction started off as a nice clean pop band. Disney inspired cute boys for safe rock and roll and now they're slaughtering Beatles tunes. I suggest someone get them back in line with some nice songs about how they like girls who smell like strawberries and how they want to go to prom or something.
