Bono: "Why would Any One Want Another U2 Album?"

“We were trying to figure out, ‘Why would anyone want another U2 album?” Bono told BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe earlier this year according to gigwise.com . “We’ll find out if we’re irrelevant.”

I need a new U2 album and the UK tabloid The sun has said I am getting a new U album this November. I miss U2 and I mean I seriously miss U22, I can’t lose with this band. If they suck I get months of stories, if they are great I get months of stories, if they are good boys I get months of stories, if they are assholes I get months of stories.

Back when rock nyc started we must have written about them every other day for two years (except when Bono injured his back and we took a break till he was all fixed up), I myself reviewed both the Julie Taymor and the final product Spiderman movie, I sneered long and hard at so many things they did-but maybe especially Bono and the Edge’s music to this show.

I loathed the 2009 album and perhaps hated the Nelson Mandela song more, though the last thing they gave us, “Invisible” I really enjoyed. Go figure, right?

But through it all they were a fountain of, even costing me a couple of friendships with mutual acquaintances along the way, and I need them and am beyond excited they will be back. So Bono the answer is: we want another U2 album if only because it is much more fun picking on you than on Chris Martin.
