The would be gay lovers at the heart of 21 Jump Street, police officers  Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are out of High School, where they went undercover just like Johnny Depp in the TV show , not to mention Cameron Crowe in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”. “21” was a big hit so now we have “22”, the same only bigger and worse, Schmidt and Jenko go to college.

Jenko joins the jocks, Schmidt the art school crowd, as they track the bad guys, have a coupla big time chases, have a lovers quarrel, Schmidt (that’s Jonah Hill -right) nails the police captain (Ice Cube) daughter and it all ends up at Spring Break in Puerto Rico where the duo are left hanging for dear life on to a helicopter while Jenko (Channing again) holds his partners erect penis (Schmidt: “It’s adrenaline” -er?)

The odd couple have some chemistry together, Channing is an original, a leading man with a great deal of self-deprecation and Jonah is an excellent actor who has come a long way since “Superbad”.

The comedy has a very funny ending credits with short coming attractions of supposed sequels they go to “cooking school, flight school, fireman school, as foreign exchange students and at dance school ” according to Mashable here. It is funny, the movie is pretty funny in a harmless sort of way. PS, “Turn Down For What” got its big break at the start of the movie.
