Angry Energetic Public Image Ltd Reform…Can a New York concert be far behind???

I loved Public Image Ltd. with all my heart from  1st Edition to the Flowers Of Romance but despite an Afrika Bambata here and a rise there thought when John Lydon  dumped Jah Wobble and Keith Levine Lydon transformed a band to rival the Sex Pistols into a bunch of yes men.
I saw Public Image at the New York Paladium in 1980 -the Metal Box tour, and thought it was a best concert ever contended and I interviewed Lydon a year later and thought he was a wonderful guy.
So if I seem mixed towards PiL, I’m not really, and the news he has reformed the band for the 30th anniversary of The Metal Box (aka Second Edition) is thrilling indeed though tempered by the lack of any other original members of the band.
According to Uncut News the new line up will be John Lydon, Damned guitarist Lu Edmonds, former Slits drummer Bruce Smith and bassist Scott Firth.
PiL are playing UK dates but I wouldn’t be surprised to find the band in New York at some point.
