The XX’s Guitarist Takes a breather

This is the downside of having the world so closely focussed upon you. On the heels of a very succesfull CMJ, deafening buzz surrounding them and the likes of Michael Stipes checking em out in London comes reports of cancelled gigs and guitarist-keyboard player Baria Qurishi taking a leave of absense due to exhaustion.


I am not quite the fan the rest of the world is but I quite like their quietly lapidary pop tones and am not particularly surprised to read about the cost of success in the rock universe. Let’s Baria returns soon.
