Well this is one of the most disappointing songs I have heard in a really long time. With high hope I went in to this knowing it wasn't going to be a potential mega hit but I didn't think it would just fall flat.
The music is fantastic, the vocals are superb, the lyrics are the biggest waste of words and punctuation. Awful cliche' horrible and lack of creativity made me want to punch the band in the head. Jumping in to 'Band Aids' "Let Them Know Its Christmas was nothing but a cop out for a band that couldn't conjure up enough lyric to create an entire song. Who the hell allowed this to be released- even as a free download?
Driver Friendly just cheapened themselves so much that there is no turning back unless someone scrubs my brain with bleach and I forget I ever heard it. The worse part is how great it could have been if it weren't written in the back of a Prius on the way to the studio (or basement) Everything, and I do mean everything about the sound is fantastic and the damn words just destroy any hope for it. Its almost as if I wish I didn't understand English so I would have an opportunity to really love this.
There are seven freakin guys in this band and not ONE of them said, 'guys..these lyrics fucking suck'. So shame on all of you, for ruining a potentially cool holiday tune with a simple lack of effort.
