Bloodlines – Tyga – Hand it for Tyga’s flow here, and if that isn’t T-Pain between autotuned (it isn’ -it’s from Mark Z’s “Its Easy”) it sure is a smart little hook, and the lyric is stranger than strange -an ode to his family and friends – B
Your Makeup Is Terrible – Alaska Thunderfuck – Fabulous ultra gay rock band as transvestite odes and the last word on not looking perfect: “but I love you any way” – B
Dawn – Breaking Benjamins – There is a good chance BB will be the top album in the country when you wake up on Monday, meanwhile this song answers the “Dark” that opens the album with a truly lovely instrumental – B+
Bully – Bully – There is a bonus track but this is the albums true ending, a really great sugar sweet pop moment – A-
Anonymous – Desaparecidos – “Freedom’s not free, and neither is apathy…” As obvious as ever – B-
Fine – Kacey Musgrave – A pleasant and unassuming waltz with clever lyric and a story to tell – B
River – Leon Bridges – An acoustic guitar for a soul song? Must be the end of the album, right? It works for me though not entirely, it shakes to a tambourine but still suffers from modern old school soul, the song isn’t quite good enough – B-
Just Like The Movies – T. Hardy Morris – A talented fellow no doubt, but just like the whiny winding slide guitar, it puts you to sleep and makes you wish it’d stop at the same time – C
