Sweet Love Of Mine  – Joy Williams – The third song off her ready to drop newbie, the first two split between winner and loser but this? Wait for it…The best of the three, a simply piece of Americana that gets it quite right, especially the bridge where she uses her falsetto to powerful effect on this superb lullaby for her baby son, Miles  – A-

Around The World – Natalie La Rosa – This is as big as it gets for Natalie, her follow up to the successful Whitney Houston cover, now she has to stand on its own two feet and the hook is obvious and catchy but is it enough? Almost there, but not all the way – B-

Fire Under My Feet – Leona Lewis – A big time UK star via “The X Factor” -this sounds like Adele central – C

Can’t feel My Face – The Weeknd – A rare misfire from the talented r&b singer slash producer, “The Hills” from a coupla weeks back was much better  – C

Family Is Family – Kacey Musgraves – I was never the fan you were and this first post-break through song is good enough but no more. Do you need to hear the lyric to know what it is about? – C+

John Cougar, John Deere, John 3: 16 – Keith Urban – This cat is too weird for his own good, the singer, the tractor manufacturer, and God’s only begotten have nothing in common – B-

My Everything – Owl City – Is it even worth the effort? He is like Vance Joy only less cool – D+
