Delilah – Florence + The Machine – With her big operatic voice, Florence’s machine was built for a song with this much sweep, but she is better on a smaller scale, better when singing about hangovers. Still, this gets there – B
– Born In The USA – Bruce Springsteen – This is off his new August 5th, 1985, romp in the swamps of a Jersey Arena. You can hear his ambivalence here, the way you couldn’t there – A
– The Night We Called It A Day – Bob Dylan – Performed on the one before the last Letterman, great song – A
– Jokerman – Bob Dylan – Central to his live performances for some ten years, this mid-80s track is myth as man – A
– I And I – Bob Dylan – Another mid-80s vision of a quiet apocalypse and a vision of god – A
– Dozen Roses, Pt 1 – Jamie Foxx – Jesus Christ, I guess it sounds alright in its own limited way but that notwithstanding, you might as well call it limp dick – C
– Johnny 99 – Bruce Springsteen – Still on the Born In The USA tour and a better song then the entire Wrecking Ball combined – A
– Little Wing – Jeff Beck – You hadda be there but this still sounds great – B
– Freedom – Milk Carton Kids – The song is better than the title makes you think it will be – B+
– High Hopes – In a manner of speaking,nice guitar solo – B+
