1 – Two Of A Crime – Miranda Lambert – I kinda liked this without going bonkers over it, but the horns are wonderful and the ending is psychedelic, and Miranda’s country tinge just makes it bigger. Great song – A-
2 – Paper Planes – M.I.A. – A friend of mine namechecked this as one of the most important songs of the 21st century and it is really hard to deny: EDM and hip hop have fed off it for years and years – A
3 – Viva La Vida – Coldplay – Back when there was a possibility these guys could shed their skin and have it all – B+
4 – Love Lockdown – Kanye West – There is only one of two possibilities for West haters, either they don’t know jack about pop music or they have never heard this – A
5 – Coldest WInter – Kanye West – A true heartbreaker… undoubtedly for his mom and not Amber – A
6 – Still Into You – Paramore – Hayley’s finest moment, a full on love song with a sexy sweetness, especially the bit where she tells him she loves him in the car coming back from her mom’s house – A
7 – Dimed Out – Titus Andronicus – I’ve been meaning to write a major Titus piece all weekend and kinda blew it – A
8 – Ong Ong – Blur – A biggie for them, it is getting the on the fence fans back in the fold – A-
9 – It Is You – Natalie Prass – Sounds like mainstream American songbook, works well wioth her voice – B+
10 – Idle Delilah – Azealia Banks – Where this woman goes, man, she does remind me of M.I.A. in that she goes her own way – A-
