A Show I Sincerely Regret Missing: David Crosby At City Winery A Year AGo

maxresdefault

Why, oh why?

Why did I pass on David Crosby at City Winery, February 1st?

I should have bought the ticket first and worried about actually going afterwards.

This was City Winery, you can’t find ticket brokers for it, they don’t provide tickets so why didn’t I think, “oh ok, I haven’t heard Croz yet, but if it is a dog I’ll just blow off the $60 or whatever and if it is good? So much the better, right? That was what a smart person would do but nooooo. I didn’t buy a ticket and then when Croz was released and it was terrific I was screwed royally.

If the first set was fine for lovers of Croz, the second set was excellent for lovers of Crosby. Some of his best songs, and a couple for  the deeper fan.

I should have gone, of course. There is no real excuse or explanation, I just blew it.

Here is the setlist and if he plays solo again, I’ll be there:

Set 1: “Croz” in entirety:
