Feels Like Forever (Acoustic) – Of Mice And Men – Metalcore goes acoustic but only to highlight the lack of an actual song there anywhere – D+

I Read You – THEESatisfaction – I’ve tried a little harder than you might expect to like this band, just because the look and act cool and edgy. But the trth is they aren’t that great and this last track is very unfulfilling – C-

Echelon – The Pop Group – Another band I tried to like just because I remember em from way back when. I do remember them but I wasn’t that keen then and am less keen on this annoying crap – D+

(Le Derniere Sommeil) The Final Sleep – The Black Ryders – It is like hurtling very very slowly to your death – C+

Chains – The Airborne Toxic Event – I hope these guys don’t become a thing, the last thin I want is to spend my life typing  The Airborne Toxic Event… plus they kinda suck – C

So Close – Keath Mead – Check out the way he spells his first name and make a decision: is he too precious or too young? My guy is the latter because he can sure write a song, this is a beauty, power folk filtered through a folkie singer songwriterly aesthetic – B+

You Little Liar -Black Star Riders – This is where a last song is helpful, this dog never came to my attention before – C

Cutter – James McMurtry – I give up on this guy – C-

Criticism And Self Realisation – Fake out intro to the same ol’ wham bang – C+

Dead Souls – Gang Of Four – You know, I never liked these guys as much as I liked em – C

Wanna Party – Future Brown – Another really good rap leads the way, this time they are rapping to church bells – A-

Shasta – Mat Kearney – Perhaps I disliked this guy on principle? This is a lovely song on an album absolutely filled with them – B+

Steely Blues – Dan Deacon – Absolutely huge electronic closer to a good album – A-

Platinum And Wood – Big Sean – He has a goodie up his sleeve to close out the album, really nice rap as well, the same old crap right? well, a recherchez of a different time. “What happened to those days, I don’t remember”? awww, nostalgia – B+
