Juliana Hatfield Three

– Wood –  Juliana Hatfield Three  – Sunday afternoon I was still considering going to see JH3 when it dawned on me, she kinda sucks. This Is another annoying sing songery piece of meh, why do I try so hard? She doesn’t like me… still if it had been a Saturday evening… – C

– Bring Your Arms – Kate Pierson – Very good disco ballad but poppier than that with the sugar unsweetened (if you see what I mean) – B+

– Absolutely Sweet Marie – George Harrison – From the 30th Anniversary special, George is a still wobbly though his guitr is like McGuinn playing Harrison – A-

– Love Letters – Bill Wyman – Harrison’s slide guitar is killer – B

– My Baby Left Me – Arthur Crudup – Great original but Presley was sexier – A

– Still England – Viv Albertine – A bit of witty jingoism “No one likes us, we don’t care” with a long litany of English folk, including Eric Morecambe – B

– Enter Sylvia Path – Belle And Sebastian – Just a real disappointment, why do they think they’re Pet Shop Boys? – C-

– Preach – Drake – Hot r&b guy PARTYALLWEEKEND, adds his skills to yet another great track off the mix tape – A-

– Push Pin – Juliana Hatfield – Did I give the album a “B+”??? And buy a tix? Why? Oh yeah, because the first two songs are good – C-

– babymaking – Dutch Uncles – It’s like a drip in a water closet you can’t turn off – C-
