There isn’t a Stadium band here. None of them can come close. Jack White is playing MSG later this month and he couldn’t fill that, AC/DC can sell out an Arena, sure, but a stadium? I don’t think. You might expect at least one huge name. A Springsteen, or U2… McCartney, something to blast it over the top, but you won’t find it. Drake WITH LIL WAYNE couldn’t sell out Forest Hills last summer. And that’s the first tier acts.
The three underneath could sell out a medium size threatre, well, no not Tame Impala, and F&TM have been quiet for aa couple of years and Weeknd? Yeah he could see out Radio City for sure.
Coachella is a big deal and an expensive big deal at that but this years model rests on its name and it will wake up to discover nobody cares about its name if it can’t provide the bang for its buck. Maybe they had U2 who passed after Bono injured himself, and nody else is on tour. But there is definitely something missing here and if this is the final 2015 line up, this might be the year they stop finding themselves sold out.
