Santa Bad, Vandals Good

1. People That Are Going To Hell – The Vandals – “So try and be nice and to do what’s right cuz there will come a day when you’re faced with your maker and no one here can save you no matter what they say, and be glad that you were good cuz some don’t do so well and
when their lives are over and they’ve done what they’ve done… They’re the people that are going to hell.” – A+

2. Get Out Of Denver – I know the Dave Edmunds cover, this is the original,  slower but much better sung – A+

3. Please Be with Me – Eric Clapton – This reminds me of an ex named  Josephine Bailey, her father was an Australian fighter pilot in WW2 and she was a really beautiful girl till a car accident disfigured her – A+

4. I Decline – Perfume Genius – A lo fi piano based beautifully sung nolle prosequi – A

5. Keep Your Hands To Yourself – The Georgia Satellites – I didn’t even know Dan Baird wrote this, I thought it was a 60s garage rocker classic – A

6. Get Out Of Denver – Dave Edmunds – Puts his foot to the metal and storms through this, it is like a flying car and you think it is gonna fly off a Colorado mountain at any second – A

7. Living For Love – Madonna – Excellent dance track, it might make it on to my top 20 tracks of 2014 and definitely will be somewhere or the other – A

8. Joan Of Arc – Leonard Cohen – Not entirely random, Madonna has a song by the same name on her upcoming album, love the double tracking of the vocal on the first verse – B+

9. Bigmouth Strikes Again – The Smiths – Keeps with the Joan Of Arc/denver dichotomy today – A

10. Get Out Of Denver – Eddie And The Hot Rods – Wow, talking about fast, this doesn’t stop for breath till the first “go” – B+
