You Can Tell How I Work – T.I.. Rick Ross – Nursery rhyme, with two fine rhymers taking you home, for some average braggadocio- B

Lullaby – Scott walker Sunn o))) – Now when you say lullaby here, what you mean is what a deranged refugee from American Horror Story might sing to Rosemary’s Baby but in a good way – A-
If We Only Had The Time -Nude Beach – The Don Giovanni band’s new album is a huge breakthrough for them and this,the last of 18 songs,sounds like a country waltz without the country, it modulates strongly off the album an hour after it started with no lack of power – A-
Melody road reprise – Neil Diamond – Always a smart way to end an album, right? This takes you back to the beginning but a little quieter and is the best moment on the album- B
Silver And Gold – Little Big Town – the album is spottier than you probably thought it was, but this lovely track reminds you they play in the Lady Antebellum leagues – B+
Cut Me Loose -Kieza – A ballad to cut you loose – B
Midnight Caller – Jessie Ware – Disco beats take you home on this soulful ending – B
Bloody Moon – The Game – This is a terrifying self-portrait with a step-father molesting his eleven year old daughter.Remarkably disturbing – B
Hear My Baby Call – Cold war Kids – They may not be the worst band in the world, but they are the worst band who ever told their audience to stop moshing because they weren’t like that – C-

Whiskey And Pills – Billy Idol – second best track on the new album is a blues rocker with a nice line “when I’m high I feel no pain” – B+

Trophies – Baxter Dury – who sounds so much like his pop it’s scary – C+
Nothing Compares To You – Aretha Franklin – Sounds like an Ella Fitzgerald imitator in a very bad way – D-
Mood Indigo – Annie Lennox – worst song for last on the generally fine new covers album, it needs a softer touch. The problem isn’t that it is either good or bad, but that it is wrong – C-
