Whoa… so lets figure this out Boz is the guy from the Polecats and Morrisseys band. Eddie Argos is the voice of Art Brut. How these two paired up is brow furrowing (this is not a jab at Eddies or Morrisseys brows though both need a good buzzing) but not exactly a bad thing.
So simply said this is an Art Brut tune with a different band. Eddie Argos vocals have zero deviation. He speaks over music in rhythm, there is no singing here its nearly spoke word. I love Art Brut but it gets old really fast. Its like a steady diet of corn, I mean its great but after awhile it gets really dull and predictable.
Lyrically this is garbage. Boz and Eddie must have been boozin it up or something cuz I can’t really grasp what other reason words like this would be tied together and called a song.
Musically its cheap and bland and Boz really? Can you throw some of the Polecat spirit in it? You don’t have to be the backdrop here if you don’t want to – its not Mozzer, this is your baby..why are you so diluted in your moment to shine?
The video is sorta cute. I mean dull and predictable but its nice to see Argos actually doing something (sidebar, he just had his first child so I suppose he’s been sorta busy cleaning puke and stuff)
Boz is out on the road with Morrissey and Argos is changing diapers.. and this song.. well it comes out on June 20th but hmmm.. I’m gonna pass. Dammnit and it had such a cool intro…
