Kanye West and people who like Kanye West will never stop to amuse me. The rapper is about to drop a new album and some snippets of a new song have appeared online here, on rapdose, and when I say snippets it is really the case! They last less than 6 seconds each and the 5 snippets make 23 seconds all together! There is another one here a bit longer, lasting a whopping 32 seconds! Great. But I have no opinion on rap and even less opinion on a few seconds of rap. They were posted on Kanyetothe discussion forum, and all I can say is that his fans have had a fantastic conversation as the post was followed by some ‘huh’, ‘hmmmm’, wut’, ‘nice’ and other very insightful comments. But I haven’t read all of it since the thread about the new album has more than 1,000 pages! Still, there is a photo of Kanye dressed as Batman (with his Kim batgirl) associated with the track because it is entitled ‘Black Bruce Wayne’, apparently another Kanye-ambition after the Yeezus episode? However, it is unclear if the song will appear on his upcoming album or if it is some old thing which suddenly surfaced. How did these snippets appear online? According to Consequence of Sound and Reddit, a member of the message board got it from someone in the industry and then sold it to another member for $500…
This is a very weird story, why would he pay such a sum for a few seconds of a song? You have to be a super-hyper fan, and even though, couldn’t he get it for free as anyone else? Radio.com gives a few more details, as the guy was originally supposed to receive the whole song but the leaker had some second thought and released only these 32 seconds. Surprisingly, the guy wasn’t even mad and he very generously posted the track online? Another bizarre move but, as a result, it could be heard everywhere a few hours ago, via soundcloud, but it has now disappeared. However you can still listen to the snippet below via Rapdose (for how long?). There’s not a lot to listen to anyway, but at least Kanye has learnt a few words in France…’Ouh là là, très bien, magnifique?’ … I wouldn’t go that far.
