In my youth, I was a comic book guy, obsessively collecting everything I could lay my hands on from around 1968 to 1973 when rock and roll took over once and for all and until further notice. Marvel came first and then DC, but also Archie, Harvey, Mad Magazine and from their I graduated to an appetite for all things sci fi. So to connect the two was obvious though I have been beaten to it as the drawing illustrating this story attests in no uncertain terms.
Still, for the record, rock stars and comic book come together once and for ever…
Ed Sheeran is Archie -they both have that regular guy red headed look.
Dave Grohl is Jughead – Not the ears but the shape of the head and the dopey look
Katy Perry is Veronica – Especially since Katy got famous and exuded that air of have -hey Katy “check your privilege.
Ellie Goulding is Betty – The every girl is a good fit.
Patrick Stickles is Reggie -when he is shaved at least
James Hetfield is The Might Thor – Hard to deny, right?
Lars Ulrich is Loki – evil and impish
Bruce Springsteen is Odin -at least in his own mind
Kurt Cobain is Spiderman – so are most lost boys.
Kanye West is the Falcon
Tune-Yards is Little Dot because they are both weirdos
Meat Loaf is Baby Huey because… well, because.
Jose Feliciano is Daredevil -the brave and the blind
Ray Wylie Hubbard is Wolverine and they could both rip you to peaces with their claws
Robert Fripp is Professor X only creepier
