After one of the most depressing articles I’ve ever written, about diminished to the point of non existent expectations and how they relate to Elvis Costello’s excellent song “B Movie”, how about a change up pop pickers. Somewhere in the world today, Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton are checking the box office for a real B movie “The Other Woman”, noting it came in first at the US Box Office ($24.7M -not bad, not great) and went back to tanning themselves on the deck of multi million dollar mansions near the cement pond. And singing J Lo songs.
So in the spirit of it isn’t endless night everywhere, I nicked this from Popdust who took it off REELZ and CW31 program “Mark At The Movies” aka “Every week Mark S. Allen interviews stars from the latest movies!”. Sounds like a laugh riot.
Here Mark gets the three stars to sing the hook to Jennifer Lopez’s addictive “I Luh Ya Papi” and consider this my way of saying “look, sorry, guys, life isn’t all doom and despair” just MOSTLY doom and despair. Anyway, damn Upton is a little knock out but don’t worry, she will grow old and wrinkled, but she looks as though she can’t follow the lyric which is kinda scary when you think about it, right?
Still, you can’t have everything, hell I saw J Lo at Jingle Ball and she can’t dance or sing so how far back is Upton?
