1. Cuando Nos Valvamos a Encontrar – Carlos Vives – My problem with Vives is he is too middlebrow, having said that here is a salsa exception with Marc Anthony joining in a rousing upbeat ballad – B
2. Shore Power – Chris Robinson Brotherhood – Starts weird and then becomes a little dreary piano rocker – C
3. Glory – Wye Oak – Not the diaphanous melodies of so many indie pop and the atmospherics are a little better than you’d expect – B
4. What Goes Boom – Pixies – Nice dynamics but the song sucks – C
5. Lavender – Ray Montagne – The album splits down the middle more or less, this is on the sweet and stodgy side – C
6. Colorado Bluebird Sky – The String cheese Incident – Starts off terrific, like Dead circa American beauty or something, but the improv in the middle ain’t all that – C-
7. Meet The Foetus/Oh Joy – Brody Dalle – Some of the album is brusque mood rockers and some is this – D+
8. Grown Up – Eli Paper Boy – Some of the album is very catchy pop and r&B mind meld, this doesn’t make it till the end – C+
9. Oblation – Floor – wall of noise and melody stuff – B+
10. Walt Disney Sitting in A Chaise and Drinking Cordials – The Ghost of Saber Tooth Tigers – Proof that too much money can addle your brain.
