This is it! The New England Hardcore and Metal Fest is upon us. A three day thrashing event located smack dab in the middle of Worcester Massachussets. The Palladium hosts this annual event and it just keeps getting stronger.
The event starts tonight with two stages of endless music and runs through Saturday night. The Palladium is one of the best venues in the area and working on a major renovation There was talk of it closing and becoming a parking lot but with the grace of God and the bucks of many it looks like this grand dame is here to stay. I suppose its chock full of asbestos so if you attend these events- dont breathe.
So who is at the fest? Tonight we have headliners All That Remains supported by the fabulous Emmure, as well as Enabler and Broken Hope.
Friday headliners Behemoth, with White Chapel and Goat Whore. Im really condensing it here there are about 25 bands a day. Good luck keeping up with that. Luckily the Palladium has two stages, a smaller one with zero site line as “stage 2” and its main stage which has a glorious slope.
Saturday Iced Earth closes the event but not before BattleCross and Lionheart have their way. Again 25 bands arrive before the Easter Bunny shows up at your house on Sunday.
I am always house proud when this event comes along. It’s great to see this event gain popularity and strength. This thing is run like clockwork rarely off time schedule (and by the way they actually give you the set times on their website!) and the security team are THE BEST in New England, not one muscle headed knob. Its got a great vibe for a truly psychotic crowd.
