Not only The Silver Lake Jubilee is not happening in Silver Lake this year – it’s actually called the Jubilee Music and Arts Festival now and it is located downtown Los Angeles – but the organizers have just released the festival line-up with scrambled band names!
I didn’t even get the chance to figure out the puzzles as several bloggers had done it already, and I am super excited for one of the headliners: ACKLB PLIS, or if you prefer Atlanta punk rockers BLACK LIPS! I missed their last show in LA, so this is a nice surprise. Also playing, Free Energy, Fool’s Gold, Jenny O., NO, Kitten, Incan Abraham, Yellow Red Sparks, Tashaki Miyaki, Broadheds, Francisco the Man, Western Lows, Beat Club, HOTT MT, Calvin Love, Cayucas, Pangea, Ghastly, Tapioca & the Flea, Daddy Kev, Thee Mike B, Franki Chan, Golden Sun, Wardell, AVP, Torches, Moses Campbele, Great White Buffalo, Lovelife, Obliterations, More Amor, a lot of bands I don't know, and others whose monikers have stayed mysterious for now.
The Scenestar is even saying that bigger names will be announced later, so of course the ticket prices are a little higher than last year, but the early bird at $35 for two days is still a bargain! The Jubilee Music and Arts Festival will happen on June 7th and 8th.
