I was in Philly a couple weeks ago- it is a whacked out city. Sprawling and tiny its like someone shrunk metropolis and made all the streets lead to nowhere. Not exactly a friendly place considering its supposedly the home of 'brotherly love'. Too much construction, tolls for every move and well lets face it, its New Jerseys exhaust pipe.
What a lovely place for our man Jay Z to throw a par-tay! Labor Day weekend get ready to cross that bridge to check out the official end of summer. The cool thing is Jay Z used Spotify to announce the line up. A sorta nifty angle. So who's there aside from his bitch and his brat?
Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix, Wiz Khalifa, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Gaslight Anthem, Solange, Emeli Sandé, Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Imagine Dragons, Fitz+ the Tantrums, Public Enemy, Jesse Rose, Schoolboy Q, Walk The Moon, Robert DeLong and EDM artists like Calvin Harris, Nero, Deadmau5, Empire Of The Sun and (of course) "many more". This is a pretty interesting mix of performers I feel sort of bad for Queens of the Stoneage and Gaslight Anthem though, will they divdie these genres by day or will they just wait for the riot?
Taking place August 31 and September 1st on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Just fyi on there are some cool thrift shops over there. There are also crackheads and whores if you're so inclined. More crackheads than whores though so plan accordingly.
