1. You Can Be Loved – Orenda Fink – A hushed piece of heartbreak, though how it fits back into the overall theme of the album, I am not sure. Like so much of the best pop, it is a statement which needs know further affirmation – B+

2. My Type – Saint Motel – SM seem to have discovered whole new uses of horns, they always seem to have escaped from some merengue party – B+

3. The Heart Live Room Version – NEEDTOBREATH – This is a cracking little classic rocker – B+

4. Heart And Soul – Twin Atlantic – It is called “Heart And Soul”, what do you think these Scotch anthem grinders are selling – C

5. Ain’t That Peculiar – Smokey Robinson And James Taylor – JT is so good at Marvin covers, I think it is the mix of voices – B+

6.Be My Eyes – Castanets – The beats live up to the bands name – B

7. If You Forget Me – Ute Lemper – Art cabaret like Kurt Weill set to great words – B+

8. True Facts feat Nicki Minaj – Wiz Khalifa – Catchy as hell – B

9. Almost Like The Blues – Leonard Cohen – It brims over with musicality and smarts – A

10. Shake It Off – Taylor Swift – Beyond catchy, it is like the glue of pop – A
