Hungover – Brandy Clark – Robert Christgau rates her very high indeed and while I don’t, it might be worth noting that the first time I heard of Miranda Lambert was in an XGau column (the first time I heard of Bright Eyes, Old 87’s and Jenny Lewis among any others), so I went back and listened again. Not bad – B+
2. Beautiful Dreamer – Jerry Lee Lewis – Jerry Lee sings Stephen Foster, what’s not to like? _ A-
3. Tonight I’ll Be Yours – Teddy Thompson – A Leonard Cohen cover. Hey, maybe I underestimate him? – B+

8. Under The Pressure – The War On Drugs – Man, did I miss it with these guys. An eight minute plus modern mood rock masterwork – A
9. Ladder Song – Bright Eyes – Good song, Lorde kills on it by the way – B
