1. Cue the Rain – Lea Michele – Matt Rad is all over this slice of modern pop dross misstep from a woman who should have returned to her roots and instead went to the pop charts. The only area of interest is yet another chorus that seems to have been made from the sweat off Bono’s brow and a mood infused with the loss of Corey – C-
2. Guilty Of Everything – Nothing – This is what they do, slow burn melodies building to distempered outbursts – B+
3. 400 Lux – Lorde – I wish they’d take that foghorn off the track – B+
4. Blue Sky – The Allman Brothers – This extended 11 minute jam, from the SUNY/Stonybrook liver back in 1971, is the best place to hear their best song – A+
5. Drowned In Blue – Marla Mase – Manic mood swings with a groove to die for and an organic spoken word break – A
6. Dark Waltz – The Men – Why would they call this a waltz when it is a classic country rocker – B+
7. In Vein – Rick Ross – The Weeknd may sound like a one tricj pony but it is a trick that has improved with time: a sort of ultra catchy r&B RZa – B
8. Heartaches By The Number – Rosanne Cash – The List has improved over time and this duet with Elvis Costello was pretty good to start with – B+
9. How Might I Live – Real Estate – Alright, I’ve given it a good listen and I’m still bored senseless – C
10. A Nightingale Sang In Berkely Square – Faryl Smith – Sure it is a standard of sorts but when was the last time you heard it? Oh, yeah, I mean besides Rod Stewarts 2004 cover. Britain’s Got Talent singer does no hardm – B
