1 – My Sharona – The Knack – It was 1970 and new wave ruled the world… or did it? This piece of pseudo-new wave was much  a story about infidelity – Clothed by the people who cared for the real thing and while pimply would be jackers blasted it, the sound of new wave was a transparent mix and match from the British Invasion. I hated it at the time, but today can’t muster the energy – B

2 – Bad Girl – Donna Summer – The world was not ready to say goodbye to disco quite yet and this horn rimmed blast of horns was all attitude dancing – A-

3 – Le Freak – Chic – The world is still catching up to Niles Rodgers riff – A+

4 – Da Ya Think I’m Sexy – Rod Stewart – Lessee: Disco 3, New Wave -1 – B

5 – Reunited – Peaches And Herb – Always looking at Ashford and Simpson somewhere up ahead, here they caught em at the turn and it feels so good – B+

6 – I Will Survive – Gloria Gaynor – The gay anthem on steroids, self reliance has never felt better – A

7 – Hot Stuff – Donna Stuff – This was the year disco ruled from one end to another and, actually, it might have been the death of rock and roll – B+

8 – Y.M.C.A. – The Village People – Is it a sufficient exploration of homosexuality in the late 1970s that this wasn’t seen as gay stereotypes partying on fire island coming out – A

9 – Ring My Bell – Anita Ward – Disco diva with only one hit to her name, though she still sings it today – B+

10 – Sad Eyes – Robert John – Sounds like old time MIR from
