Winner: Saturday saw the grand opening of School Of Rock -quite literally what it claims to be, a music school for children under the age of 18, on Douglass Street in Brooklyn. Owned by Mike Addesso, there was literally a line to sign up when I dropped by to check it out. I’ll write more later but absolutely, just round the corner from Barclay Center, school was not like this when I was a child.
Loser: I bought my ticket to the Allman Brother’s last stand at the Beacon Theatre on presale so I wasn’t flipping out THAT BAD about Gregg being out sick. If I had paid $500 to a ticket broker I might not have taken it quite so well. And what exactly is wrong with Gregg? He caught a cold? Fine, why not reschedule the dates instead of making fans miss their last chance to see the band the way god planned it?
