The Guardian has such a strange article about James Brown, or rather James Brown’s corpse, …. I don’t want to get too morbid, although it would be totally normal at this period of the year. William Murrell, the most famous limo driver of the planet, the guy who drove James Brown, Michael Jackson, Prince Mary J Blige, Chris Rock, Don King, Reverend Al Sharpton,…has confided that the godfather of funk has not been buried yet!
‘He’s been dead since 2006 but he still hasn’t been [properly] buried – he’s at his daughter’s house.’ he said…’They muminized [sic] his body so he would never rot, at $140,000 cost. Why? When you got almost 20 kids and six wives it’s hard to get you in the ground.’
Is this true? How come this has never been made public?
Murrell was not simply a driver, he also got close to celebs’ families and got to see these people close and personal. Imagine all the stories this guy has heard. That’s why Murrell has some project for a autobiography which could see the light soon, revealing all sort of stories. Murrell had this story about Michael Jackson attending Brown’s funeral: ‘He wanted to spend some time with the godfather of soul ’cause he was his mentor’, and Jackson stayed an hour in the funeral room with dead James Brown and although Murrell found Jackson to be ‘a pretty cool guy’, ‘to see him in real life was real scary – his skin colour was white and his hands were white,’ adding he thought Jackson was ‘a human Frankenstein’. Jackson even added his touch on the corpse, ‘He put a little curl in his hair, like Jackson’s own’… with details like this, why hasn’t he written a book already?
Murrell has also a few things to say about James Brown’s numerous affairs, as Murrell would pick Brown’s affairs at the airport, sometimes several in a day, but he has again, juicy, errr really inappropriate details to reveal:
‘You heard it correct. They [his girlfriends] used to tease him about that. They said it wouldn’t get hard and it was about the size of a pencil.’… ‘They wanna feel it! But his money made everybody stop complaining.’
Is that too much information for you? There is no such thing, tabloids would have a field day with anything this guy has to say. Just ask him, Prince? ‘He liked to be carried around by his bodyguards, like a baby. They’d lift him out the car and carry him to the dressing room.’ And this could explain why Prince is still in resplendent shape at his age.
Bobby Brown? ‘He was real rude and raggedy. And stoned to the bone. He wasn’t obnoxious to me, it was more the way he treated people in conversations on the phone, like Whitney [Houston, Brown’s wife] – he was very rude to her.’ This is not a scoop, I am sorry!
Honestly, is he gonna write a book about all this gossiping? The guy can simply make up any story he wants if he has enough imagination, who can verify any of this? Still, true or not, the James Brown mummy is very creepy and now stuck in my mind.
