What the hell..
Its been three years since we 've heard a peep from The Academy Is…, then this ditty arrives.
A solo performance by front man William Beckett, singing The Cures "Just Like Heaven". Lets talk.
First, Beckett looks great! Older yeah a bit less swagger but it is a webcam performance. Keep In mind I drove 9 damn hours to see this kids band, long story short he looks a bit tired.
But what a great rendition of this great song. I consider myself a strong Cure fan, so I'm not too keen on slacker reproduction. This is far from slack. We announced earlier that the band is now a trio and working on their next full length LP. I suppose Beckett thought it wise to show his face again so we wouldn't forget him.
