BO.M.B.F.E.S.T.

B.O.M.B. Fest. Organized by Frank Bombaci, Sr. and Frank Bombaci, Jr. with all proceeds from the festival go to providing music scholarships, music enrichment and education programs, music and healing initiatives and community support and outreach.
Nice cause, I wonder how much of the proceeds are actually going to the non profits and I wonder what the bands are being paid.  I also wonder if the venue Comcast Theater is getting for their venue.  The event had formerly been held on a college campus and now- well its the big time.

“I have watched BOMB fest grow from its days at the Durham Fair and am honored they have chosen the Comcast Theatre to host the 2011 BOMB fest,” says Jim Koplik, President of Live Nation Connecticut-Upstate New York in regards to the expansion of the Festival. “It is the number one homegrown festival in Connecticut and now it will be held in the premiere outdoor concert venue in Connecticut.”

I predict a big fat profit.  You cant go to a major venue for a fundraiser when its a father and son endeavour.  I'm sure all charities will get a check and everyone will have a nice time and the Bombaci family will get kudos for their efforts.

But I really dont  think we shold kid anyone into thinking this is still a grass roots effort.  Comcast wasnt feeling friendly.
Anyway..
