This video is a band called, Them. 1965 some of us weren't even born. So I get this little gem in my mailbox and I'm instantly stopped dead in my tracks.
First grab that bass. Simple yet so strong its the workhorse of the band…or is it cuz that cat on the drums could easily steal the show. How about that bass and drum duo step aside for the guitarist who comes out with rock clock arm… what the hell is this?
Stop- lets look at this audience. I swear Jerry Mathers as the Beaver is in that audience…this is the most surreal thing I have seen in a very very long time- almost Twilight Zone.

Van Morrison, good to know he was never attractive but if you watch you could see someone in his facial contortions. I see Elvis Costello. Now back this up to 1:30- right there the spaz face I've loved a thousand times.. was stolen from Van Morrison.
Elvis Costello ripped off Van Morrison and it took this little video to show that to me. Here I thought EC was 100% unique that awkward almost brain damaged eyes closed tick and contorted mouth was done about 10 years earlier….right here by Them.
I'm not sad nothing is ever really brand new anymore its all been done before but I cant believe as a fan of Van and EC I never saw this before. Go to 4:33.. again Costello face.
The songs kick ass the audience is hilarious and honest the entire band looks like an advertisement for the Sears and Robuck Easter Sale.. 'cept that pedophile looking keyboard dude..eek.
