When Axl Rose Tweets About The Slaughtered Danish Giraffe

Have you heard about this giraffe story? I saw it on CNN last night and was totally horrified. The Copenhagen Zoo decided to kill one of his young and healthy giraffe just because his genes were too similar to the other giraffes’ and was no good for reproduction. I understand the risk of inbreeding, but there is more than one zoo in the world and they could have exchanged or sold the giraffe for god’s sake! Not only they killed the animal but they also cut him into pieces in front of a crowd of children and fed the zoo lions with the meat… I know, people have said this is what happens every day in nature, it’s a good lesson for children…. Blablabla. Except that zoos are anything but nature, zoo animals are in prison, got it? And if zoos have any purpose it is to protect and preserve wild animals and  endangered species, so this weird decision goes totally against their own goal. ‘It’s abominable,’ said famous animal lover and director of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium Jack Hanna, ‘These are creatures we have a responsibility for — to find it a home if they don’t have the room.’… ‘It’s not an accepted practice in any zoo’. I could not agree more, and I would add that if nature is cruel, we don’t have to be, there were other options!

I was expecting more reaction on Twitter from ‘famous people’… where is Morrissey when we need him!!??!! But what surprised me, was Axl Rose, who once again weighed on the subject! The Guns N’ Roses frontman tweeted a series of mid raw mid funny reactions:

‘Just enjoying the lion’s share of some tasty baby Giraffica sliders! Mmmmm!’… ‘What’ll them crazy Danes think of next! But seriously, let me get this straight. . . . The Danes killed a 2 yr old baby giraffe, chopped it up n’ fed him to the lions (allegedly in front of kids) to avoid inbreeding rather than find a place for it. Maybe this is a big problem over there, I don’t know, but I’m not getting how this deters siblings n’ various other assorted Danish family members from fuckin’ each other?! J/k :)☺.’

This is totally Axl, don’t make fun of him, he is right on this one, beside the bad jokes. But what the world has become to, when Axl Rose beats Morrissey on a meaty story like this one? Next time he will announce his next tour is all vegan.
